Compassionate Counseling
As a licensed independent social worker, a mindfulness practitioner, a dancer, a yoga teacher, and a student of various mind-body and somatic approaches to movement, I bring a variety of perspectives and unique techniques to my work.
In counseling together, we will take your lead. We'll explore mind-body connections, practice embodiment and interoception (feeling the body from the inside out), and develop your personal empowerment and creative tools to weather life's ups and downs.
I am open to exploring all of life's challenges-- it's important to note that I am trauma-informed and that I encourage (but never force!) movement and mindfulness. I am comfortable and enjoy working with people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, gender non-conforming, gender-fluid, straight, monogamous, open, curious, questioning, asexual, polyamorous, as well as other gender and sexual identities. I am very open to using the terms that feel most comfortable to you.
Call or email me for a free, informal discussion to see if we would be a good fit!
